Been a busy week and a half, new business won has been planned and bought, and already I'm pulled back in to the fray of pitching for 3 more. Success rate so far still 100% so I must be doing something right on the online media front, together with great colleagues who cover off the offline plans.

On the back of that I've been also looking at more web 2.0 social media apps and my favourites this week are TV/Selfstream Ustream.com, Justin.tv and phlogging site Ipadio.com. Oh the new words that pop up in this business - phlogging (!) where will it ever end.

Been watching the Man U v Arsenal game stream on Ustream and the fact you cam embed the stream on your own website is an idea I'm sure that will take off even more this year. Ipadio I like very much, phone blogging, even live phone blogging. Someone will come up with great ideas for these and the embed feature once again plus datacapture etc needs more brain power to work out how best to use it personally and commercially.

Realised that it's been 20 years nearly since my last marathon - a hotter New York one than the weekend's London one. So what do I do? Yup, I signed-up for the 2010 London Marathon ballot. 1 in 5 chance and how these things have changed so much with the involvement of charities that target the event. When signing up you are asked which charity would you perhaps support and raise money for. You get the idea that you are hardly going to get a place in the race unless you run for one on their list. So you choose up to 5 to look at. 24hrs later 2 of them are asking me to run for them, raise either £1500 or £2000, offering me many benefits for choosing them, and asking for downpayments from £30 to £100 which gives me more chance of being able to run for them. Hmm, not so much a lottery, more a charity scramble. Although charity is wonderful it's a shame one just can't run and not feel as if you owe thousands for getting the chance to do so. Anyway still some months before the lottery results are out.

Tomorrow I'm popping into Internet World at London's Earls Court 2, I've been every year since its start and alas it's got more corporate which is a shame and with the credit crunch here now I guess there will be less small entrepreneurial startup booths (always my favourites), but it will be nice to catch up with old friends both on the stands and at the local pub.
